Dear Marine Corps,
Please don't have slogans up like 'there are no such thing as female marines, just marines', if you're going to hold females to a different standard. You tell us that we all earn the same title, yet one gender has to go through a significantly harder experience than the other. How are you supposed to expect all the males to respect us as equal marines if we only need to be about half as physically fit as they do to earn the title? To literally not be allowed to be tested on pull-ups because most girls can't do one is actually kind of demeaning. I mean, who cares if there will be less females who can qualify? Isn't our motto 'the few and the proud' in the first place?
Sincerely, A disillusioned female marine who feels held back by her gender
